Communion

(The Last supper)- It is where they pass out a piece of cracker and a sip of wine or grape juice and everyone eats and drinks. Every year on Passover the Jews have a traditional meal called the Seder. The holiday meal runs through the story of Moses and the Red Sea depicted by the movie “the 10 Commandments with Charlton Heston. In the dinner there are several toasts done with a glass of wine and all the food is representative of something spiritual or historical that God has done. The Last Supper was a Seder meal. Jesus was narrating the meal and when he got to a part where there are 3 crackers the middle one is supposed to be broken he said “This is my body broken for you….” When he got to the last toast he said “This is my blood that was shed…..” Originally Christians would celebrate with the entire meal but over time it was shortened down to just the bread and cup part which is referenced in the bible.
